Build a hexagonal empire and defeat your opponents

HEX BOIS is a strategy game combining base building and real-time combat. Start with a central core and gradually expand your territory using hexagonal tiles.

Hex Bois

Start with a small Core

Each player begins with a Core tile that serves as the center of their base. From there, you can build adjacent hexagonal tiles to expand your empire, similar to the gameplay in Hexanaut.io. The key rule is that every built tile must maintain a connection to at least one core. If a tile becomes disconnected from the system, it will gradually disappear.

Manage funds to grow your empire

Currency is a crucial factor in HEX BOIS. Generators produce funds over time, providing the resources needed to expand your base and deploy other types of tiles. The more generators you build, the faster you accumulate funds.

Hexagonal tiles define your strategy

Each tile type in HEX BOIS serves a specific function, ranging from generating funds and attacking to defending and protecting the base's center.

HEX BOIS Controls

Game controls are straightforward, relying primarily on the keyboard and mouse to view the map, select tiles, and perform actions.

  • WASD or arrow keys: move the view.
  • Drag mouse: move the camera.
  • Double-click: select a group.
  • Click empty tile: build.
  • Click your own tile: upgrade.
  • Click opponent's tile: attack.
  • Keys 1-4: select tile type.
  • Space: return to Core.

Tips for building a solid empire

Prioritize building generators to ensure a steady income.

Protect your core and generators with walls rather than focusing solely on expansion.

Always ensure new tiles remain connected to the core.

Observe the opponent's base before deciding to attack.

Use soldiers for quick strikes against weak points.

Avoid over-extending if you lack the means to defend your territory. When you have multiple cores, distribute your defenses to avoid losing your entire base too quickly.
